Privacy Policy
This policy explains how personal data is handled on this Island Residence information website. The site is operated by a demonstration operator, "Alex Tan, Demo Agent" of "Example Property Agency", which are fictional placeholders. At present, the enquiry form checks your entries in your browser but does not send them anywhere. This policy will be updated with the real operator's details before enquiries are collected.
1. Who we are
When live, this site will be run by a salesperson registered with the Council for Estate Agencies (CEA) and their licensed estate agency. It is not run by, or on behalf of, the developer Keppel Land.
2. Data we collect
If you use the enquiry form, we collect your name, Singapore mobile number, email address, preferred unit type, the information you asked for, and the date and page of your enquiry. We do not ask for NRIC numbers or financial details.
3. How we use it
We use your details to respond to your enquiry about Island Residence, which may include sending floor plans, price lists and preview or showflat timings, and contacting you by phone, SMS, WhatsApp or email. We do not sell your personal data.
4. Consent and the Do Not Call Registry
We contact you only with the consent you give on the form, in line with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA). Your consent on the form covers calls and messages to your number even if it is listed on the Do Not Call Registry, for this enquiry only. You may withdraw consent at any time by writing to the contact below. After that we will stop contacting you, unless the law requires otherwise.
5. Sharing
Your details may be shared with the licensed estate agency the salesperson belongs to, and with service providers that help us store or deliver enquiries, under confidentiality obligations. We will not share them with other parties unless the law requires it.
6. Google Maps
The Location section embeds a map provided by Google Maps. When the map loads, Google may collect information such as your IP address and may set cookies, under Google's own privacy policy. This site does not receive that data.
7. Cookies and analytics
This site does not currently use analytics or advertising cookies. If they are added, this policy will be updated to name the service and what it collects.
8. Storage, protection and retention
We take reasonable steps to protect personal data from unauthorised access, use or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is fully secure. We keep your details only as long as needed for the purpose you gave them, or as required by law.
9. Access and correction
You may ask to see or correct the personal data we hold about you. For this demonstration site, the contact address is privacy@example.invalid, which is a placeholder and does not receive mail. The live operator's contact will replace it before launch.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
